"In all this world there is nothing so beautiful as a happy child,"
Lyman Frank Baum

“The Wizard of Oz” play is based on the original children’s novel “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” by the American writer Lyman Frank Baum, first published in 1900. In his novel Baum teaches that the most important things in life are reliable friends, self-belief, ability to never give up and stand up in the most difficult situations. The book gives life to wonderful characters that go through unbelievable adventures, but the most important thing about it is that it gives this amazing positive feeling of warmth and kindness. This story has become real classics, and although it is over a century old, it’s still popular. There is no trick here, the secret is easy to crack – the everlasting values like the good, the honour and the friendship, ensure the readers’ interest regardless of the time and age.
Dear friends! Take your places in the hall, make yourself comfortable and get ready to set for a fascinating adventure… Somewhere over the rainbow you will find yourself on the yellow brick road. This road will take you through the enchanted forests, Kingdoms of the Wicked Witches’ and the Good Witches’ into the Emerald City somewhere in the Country of Oz. Into the world where every dream comes true…
